Sponsor a vine program

What is the Sponsor a Vine program?

Open tab

Sponsor a Vine is a unique way to become part of the Hunter Wine Lab story. By sponsoring a Chardonnay or Barbera vine, you’ll follow its journey from the vineyard to the glass — and enjoy special privileges as a Foundation Sponsor.

What do I receive as a sponsor?

Open tab

Each sponsor receives:

  • A personalised certificate of sponsorship
  • A photo of your vine with your name tag attached
  • Regular vineyard updates showing the progress of your vine and the vintage
  • Exclusive invitations and offers reserved for Foundation Members

Can I choose my vine variety?

Open tab

Yes — you can choose to sponsor either a Chardonnay or Barbera vine (or both!). We’re offering 500 of each variety for our Foundation Sponsors.

How long does the sponsorship last?

Open tab

The Foundation sponsorship term runs for three years, taking you on the full journey from new planting to first harvest. After that, you’ll have the option to renew annually.

Can I give this as a gift?

Open tab

Absolutely! It makes a beautiful and thoughtful gift for wine lovers or the “hard-to-buy-for” person.

At checkout, simply select that it’s a gift and include the recipient’s name — we’ll personalise the certificate and vine tag for them.

Will I be able to visit my vine?

Open tab

Yes, you can visit your vine at the Hunter Wine Lab vineyard [limit of 2 people can go into the vineyard per visit].

We’ll locate your vine on our map, and take you down to view your vine and take a photo with it. We’ll even have your name displayed on a swing tag attached to your vine.

Please contact us prior to visiting so that we can make sure one of our team is available to show you your vine. Walking through the vineyard unattended is strictly not allowed.

Do I get wine from my vine?

Open tab

Not immediately — vines take time to produce fruit. As a Foundation Sponsor, you’ll be part of our story from planting through to first harvest, and we’ll keep you updated as your vine grows.

Future sponsors may have the chance to receive wine allocations once the vineyard begins producing.

Can I sponsor more than one vine?

Open tab

Yes! Many sponsors choose to sponsor several vines — for family members, friends, or corporate gifts.

How much does sponsorship cost?

Open tab

The Foundation Sponsor package includes a 3-year term with all inclusions. Pricing details are available on our website at checkout.

What happens after the 3-year term?

Open tab

After the initial 3 years, you’ll have the option to renew annually and continue your journey with your vine, gift your renewal to someone else, or hand your vine back to the sponsorship pool.

Can businesses sponsor vines?

Open tab

Yes, we welcome corporate sponsorships. It’s a great way to connect your brand to a working vineyard and be part of a local sustainability story.
